Each year we celebrate the birthday of Frida Kahlo, commemorating the legendary life of one of the most influential Mexican painters of the mid-twentieth century while enjoying a live salsa band, traditional Mexican dance performance, multiple art exhibits by local Latin@ artists and vendors, a Frida lookalike contest, great food and Tequila! Free Pride Passes!

The San Diego LGBT Community Center and San Diego LGBT Pride are teaming up to make sure that we register as many Equality Voters as possible during the setup for the Pride Parade on Saturday, July 21. If meeting new people and making new friends isn’t incentive enough, everyone who volunteers and works the brief shift will receive complimentary passes to the festival for BOTH Saturday and Sunday! AIDS Walk 2012! Are You Registered?

On Sunday, Sept. 30, nearly 8,000 walkers, runners and volunteers will line up in Balboa Park for the 23rd AIDS Walk & Run San Diego to raise much-needed funds for local HIV/AIDS service organizations. Make sure you’re part of it! Registration is quick and easy. Just go to www.aidswalksd.org and sign up as an individual, join an existing team or start your own team. By signing up now and inviting others to join you, you’ll help get the date for AIDS Walk on people’s calendars and give us all a chance to start early on our fundraising efforts.
