Judy Garland would be turning 90 June 10 this year, and TCM is honoring her birthday by showing all of her greatest musicals, from The Wizard of Oz to A Star Is Born to Easter Parade, and many more. While watching these films may not help you understand why she was so important to a generation of gay men – as both a tragic figure and as camp humor – but it would be a start. Also, she was an awesomely vulnerable, yet forceful actress and, wow, can she sing.
