Suspected murderer Luka Rocco Magnotta was arrested in Berlin, Germany after a global manhunt for the alleged cannibal and necrophiliac. The gay porn actor was wanted for dismembering a Chinese student in Montreal.

“We have the information. We’re verifying [the details] right now,” a spokeswoman told The Huffington Post.

Magnotta was placed on Interpol’s list of wanted persons which led to his arrest in Germany.

Police in Montreal believe Magnotta murdered and dismembered Lin Jun, a 33 year old student at Concordia University who was reported missing on May 24. Authorities say Magnotta allegedly recorded and posted the video to the internet.

Magnotta faces charges of first-degree murder, committing an indignity on a dead body, publishing obscene material, mailing “obscene, indecent, immoral or scurrilous” material and criminally harassing Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and several unnamed members of Parliament, police said according to The Huffington Post.

The alleged killer was caught after surveillance video identified Magnotta at a restaurant and hotel in France over the weekend before heading to Germany where he was ultimately caught.
