A meeting to learn about The Quilt Conversation, a project presented by the San Diego Museum of Art as part of its Summer Salon, will be held 6 p.m. Friday, May 25, at the San Diego Art Department, 3830 Ray Street in North Park.
Organizer and San Diego LGBT Weekly arts columnist Andrew Printer will be sharing his quilt project and describing how people can become involved.
“Please feel free to bring anyone you know who might want to participate, especially anyone interested in learning more about the historic Names Project AIDS Memorial Quilt and/or the AIDS crisis years,” said Printer. “The Summer Salon is a major art event in town and there will be a lot of projects, fun and press attention. Todd Gloria always kicks off the opening night. And all participants get a free membership to the museum,” Printer added.
