San Diego Asian Film Foundation Spring Showcase
The 2nd annual San Diego Asian Film Foundation Spring Showcase is a week-long celebration of Asian cinema at the Mission Valley UltraStar Cinemas, April 19-26. An exciting collection of 11 titles from 8 countries features the best in Asian cinema. There are films from Japan, India and Korea, plus documentaries and more.
This Thursday the featured movie is Sunny , a South Korean film about a group of middle aged-women going through various mid-life struggles, seeking to reunite with each other.

The Barber Of Seville
San Diego Opera presents The Barber of Seville , a riotous musical comedy and one of the most popular in the operatic repertoire. Adams Avenue Unplugged
A brand new type of weekend music and art festival debuts on Adams Avenue. Adams Avenue Unplugged will take place the weekend of April 21 and 22 along a two mile stretch of Adams from Texas Street on the West, on through Normal Heights and into parts of Kensington to the East. The event will feature 170 live musical performances staged inside or around more than 30 restaurants and bars lining the neighborhood. Musicians will also perform on three community stages spread throughout the area.

Object Lessons: France in the Golden Age
On display at the Timken Museum of Art, is a concentration of five French seventeenth-century paintings in the first of a series of small displays of art called Object Lessons. This inaugural grouping is mounted on the occasion of the loan of Nicolas Poussin’s The Holy Family Returning to Nazareth from the Cleveland Museum of Art.
