In conjunction with its current production of The Pride, Diversionary Theatre has assembled a panel of LGBT leaders for a discussion about the journey to find pride, exploring the differences between what it meant to be gay in the 1950s and today.
The panel discussion, Being Proud: Then and Now. Stories of Pride and Sacrifice will be held Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. in the lobby. A performance of The Pride follows at 8 p.m. Panel attendance is free; tickets to the show are $33.
Panel leaders include, Christopher Mills (major gifts officer at The San Diego LGBT Community Center), Bill Kelly and his partner Bob Taylor (contributing writer for Rage magazine) and Jim Zians, Ph.D (director of The Edge Research Project and The Fastlane Research Project at UCSD).
