The Hillcrest Wind Ensemble’s (THWE) next concert, Music for Winds and Percussion, is Saturday April 14 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Ave. San Diego at 7pm. This evening of music was written exclusively for wind ensemble and concert bands and includes “Jericho” and “American Salute” by Morton Gould and “Trittico” by Valclav Nelhybel. The concert will also feature the winning compositions from THWE’s 2011/12 international Call for Scores composition contest.
Admission is $15 and tickets are available at The Windsmith, 3875 Granada Ave., North Park or at the door.
