Rhythm Of The Dance
This dance and music extravaganza has heralded a new era in Irish entertainment, internationally rated as one of the most popular and busiest Irish step dance shows in the world and aspires to a purity of content preserving the traditions of Irish step dancing and yet presenting it in a modern format. LGBT Night at the Theatre
Urban Pride San Diego, along with Common Ground Theatre (CGT), in collaboration with SDCCD Continuing Education Division, will host a special LGBT Night at the Theatre for the production of for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf, by Ntozake Shange. The work is a series of 20 poems, collectively called a “choreopoem.” The production consists of a cast of seven women characters each of whom is known only by a color. The poems deal with love, abandonment, rape, and abortion, embodied by each woman’s story.

Ted Nash Quartet
Ted Nash is best known as a jazz composer and saxophonist. Born into a musical family, his father was trombonist Dick Nash. Odeon is Nash’s eclectic group that has garnered much attention in the jazz world. In addition to leading his own groups and ensembles, Nash also is very instrumental in working with the Jazz Composers Collective.
