The best show on television, and one of the best ever, Mad Men returns after almost a year and a half. In case you’ve been living under a rock: It is the story of the private and professional lives of New York advertising executives in the early 1960s, and it plays with sexism, consumerism, politics and alcoholism. While the impeccable cast is led by John Hamm and Elizabeth Moss and the insanely perfect art direction is a marvel, the stars of the show are the writers, who craft episodes like John Cheever short stories or Broadway one-act plays.
