Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney has pulled off a hard-fought squeaker of a win in the state where he grew up and where his father was once a popular governor. As one pundit put it, “Romney thought he wouldn’t have to spend more than thirty minutes or thirty dollars in Michigan,” but it took millions of dollars and dozens of hours for the former Massachusetts governor to win against former United States Senator from Pennsylvania, and Tea Party darling, Rick Santorum.
The Republican primary campaigns now turn to Ohio, with all eyes looking forward to the upcoming, ten-state contest known as Super Tuesday.
