In the spirit of romantic February, the month is best sent off with this gay kiss following a Marine’s arrival from overseas. The photo, posted on Gay Marines Facebook page, garnered over 14,000 likes within days of its posting, over 2,700 shares, and over 3,000 comments congratulating the couple, said to be Brandon Morgan of Oakdale, California and Dalan Wells of Honolulu, Hawaii.

Facebook comments gush in support for the two Marines. One Facebook user wrote, “I love this. I L.O.V.E. THIS! I’m a female Marine and I love my girlfriend with every fiver of my being. I cannot express how awesome this is to see. Thank you for posting it!” Another wrote, “One of my favorite photos of the year!”

Though the support of both LGBT activists and allies were the majority of comments, some naysayers inevitably came forth. Many Facebook users sprung to the couple’s defense. One Facebooker wrote, “God bless these men for serving our country! WHEN are we going to get over this gay hangup in society?” while another asked, “One final question to all the narrow minded people making negative comments about this amazing picture of 2 PEOPLE obviously in love… Would your significant other greet you with so much love if you had gone over there to protect ALL OF US?”

  1. God have mercy! The world is coming 2 an end truely. If u re a gay, repent cos the only place 4 u when die as a gay is hell. U re under the power of satan the devil cos u re a gay, repent nd let jesus come into ur life. There is judgement after death so repent

  2. Such people should not expect to get children. They are bound to extinct without procreation. In future they should never be allowed to adopt so their choice perfects itself in complete failure, depression and madness.
