The 11th annual Hillcrest Mardi Gras Street Party celebration will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, on University Avenue between First and Fourth Avenues 6-11 p.m., rain or shine.
The “Fat Tuesday” event is sponsored by the GSDBA Charitable Foundation and the Hillcrest Business Association. All proceeds from the street party benefit both organizations. The GSDBA Charitable Foundation issues annual Youth Scholarships.
The festival will feature live entertainment, special guest performers and an exclusive VIP area. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from participating vendors and venues. Liquor will also be served during the event. According to organizers, “an array of other surprises, plenty of beads, and various other party favors will also be part of the … evening.”
Hillcrest Mardi Gras is a 21 and up age event.
Advance ticket price is $15 or $20 the day of the event. VIP passes to Hillcrest Mardi Gras are $50 in advance and $75 that Tuesday. VIP passes include express entry, private reception area and private bathrooms.
