Bonnie Dumanis and team earn Workplace Excellence Award

SAN DIEGO — Mayoral Candidate Bonnie Dumanis today announced the District Attorney’s Office has been honored for the fourth year in a row with a Workplace Excellence Award from the San Diego Society for Human Resource Management.  Her office won the award for its proactive and innovative succession planning, allowing the government agency to reduce its workforce by ten percent while maintaining outstanding quality service to the public.

“I’m truly honored by this award.  It acknowledges there are always ways to do things better and embrace creative solutions, especially when faced with the difficulties of a down economy,” said Dumanis.  “As the chief executive of a large government organization, I’ve implemented innovative ideas to create efficiency and will bring that same approach to the Mayor’s Office.”

Each year, the San Diego chapter of SHRM selects the top agencies that make San Diego a better place to work. In honoring the Dumanis’ office, SHRM noted the DA’s innovative approach to designing retirement planning tools for employees. The new tools also allowed the office to more accurately forecast the future needs of the DA’s Office during succession planning, ensuring that the history of providing excellent quality service and one of the highest felony conviction rates in the state of California is maintained.

Previously, the District Attorney’s Office has been honored for using an in-house Process Improvement Team to increase productivity, establishing an on-site continuing education program called DA University, creating innovative programs to increase productivity and implementing proactive hiring practices to increase diversity in the workplace.

More than 130 companies, including some of San Diego’s largest employers, compete to become a Medallion Award Winner. The five other companies awarded in the category this year are American Specialty Health Inc., Gen-Probe Inc., HD Supply Facilities Maintenance, Intuit and La Costa Resort & Spa.

  1. Everyone should know that this woman is not a hero to the lgbt movement. She’s perfectly ok with state law overriding federal law when it comes to her own personal needs (ie. getting married). Sounds good right?

Wrong, it’s all just selfishness. Bonnie is currently engaged in shutting off medical marijuana users from access to their medicine in San Diego County do to – and see if you find the irony – her belief that federal law always trumps state law.

She is literally causing people to die in agony for personal gain. The LGBT movement should steer away from this evil person forever.
