The Great American Trailer Park Musical
San Diego Repertory Theatre presents The Great American Trailer Park Musical for the third production of the company’s 36th season. Here’s a comic fable about agoraphobia, adultery, ‘80s nostalgia, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, a broken electric chair, kleptomania, strippers, flan and disco. In short, it’s everything a musical should be. This rousing musical comedy about take-no-prisoners women, their no-account men and the Florida trailer park they call home, will make you want to crack open a beer, grab a lawn chair and figure out which side of the tracks you came from.

Sounds of Africa featuring Akayaa and The Bolga Zohdoomah Band
Mitch Feingold presents Sounds of Africa with Akayaa. Akayaa’s music can be described as traditional African drum styling with a jazz influence. Her music uses a traditional African talking drum, telling tales of her tribe and of Africa. As a young woman in 1980, Akayaa attended the Performing Arts School of Ghana, where she furthered her study of the talking drum and traditional dances. Her dance and charismatic stage presence make her audience feel as if they have stepped into one of her Frafra tribe’s family gatherings. This is a performance that is pleasing to your ears, and will lift your spirit.
