‘Glee’ to unveil gay love triangle

Darren Criss as Blaine and Chris Golfer as Kurt

After Kurt Hummel, played by Chris Colfer, found love last season with Blaine Anderson, in the hit show Glee, the course of true love is not set to run smooth in season three.

TVLine has exclusively revealed that Glee has tapped up-and-coming theater actor Grant Gustin to play the recurring role of Sebastian, a gay Dalton Academy Warbler who sets his sights on Blaine.

TVLine reported that both Fox and the show’s producers declined to comment, but the buzz is that Sebastian is the polar opposite of Kurt in every possible way.

Gustin told the Hollywood Reporter, “He’s a guys-guy, just a dude who happens to be gay, he’s a lacrosse player, and he’s popular. He’s after Blaine, obviously, and he’s also trying to take the place that Blaine had as the leader of the Warblers.”

Gustin continued, “We don’t really know yet if I’m going to split them up yet, but this is ending their honeymoon phase and making them more like the rest of the couples on the show.”
