Dan Choi, a gay veteran of the United States Army, announced Friday he would re-enlist in the service after being discharged under the fallen Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.
Choi began the process of re-enlisting in the army in New York on Sept. 22, just two days after the discriminatory military policy was rescinded, CBS News reports.
Choi has been an activist for the LGBT community since he was unfairly discharged in 2010. As a participant in several rallies and protests, he has been most recently in the spotlight after recently standing trial for a Nov. 2010 arrest arising outside of a White House protest.
I have to say that for the past couple of hours i have been hooked by the amazing articles on this website. Keep up the great work.
