Athenaeum’s 20th Annual Juried Exhibition
The Athenaeum’s Annual Juried Exhibition, now in its twentieth year, is recognized as one of the most prestigious juried shows in all of San Diego. Open only to artists who live, work or have exhibited in San Diego, the show is a sampling of some of the finest two and three-dimensional works from the thriving local contemporary art community.

Festival of Sail
The largest Tall Ship festival on the West Coast hosted by the Maritime Museum of San Diego, will transform the North Embarcadero into a nautical theme park. More than twenty tall ships and other fascinating vessels from around the world will be visiting San Diego. The five day event includes live entertainment from a variety of genres including; contemporary rock, sea chanteys, mariachi’s, steel drum bands and local community groups. There will be a petting zoo where kids can get up close and pet a variety of animals, cruises on San Diego Bay, cannon battles, sailing on racing yachts, over 150 arts and craft vendors, a multitude of food options, interaction with pirates and more.

The Thr3e Faces of Magic
The Red Spade Theater presents a show like you’ve never seen before! Three different styles of magic all wrapped into one show. Tom McCarthy, a celebrated performer and magician, master of the scam and king of the con! This is one man you don’t want to play cards with. Austin Fields is a psychological illusionist who’s out to show you he may know you better than you know yourself. Sebastian has a very unique style of visual illusion and story telling. With his magic, warmth and humor, he will lead you into a world where no line exists between the possible and the impossible.

Timken Museum of Art
Considered one of the great small museums in the world, the Timken houses the world-class Putnam Foundation Collection of European old master paintings, American paintings and Russian icons. Artists represented include Rembrandt, Rubens, Fragonard, Bierstadt, Pieter Bruegel the Elder, John Singleton Copley and Eastman Johnson. The museum is also currently hosting a special exhibition on George Inness, an American nineteeth-century landscape painter.

San Diego Natural History Museum
Discover fascinating exhibitions and a new giant-screen Dolby digital 3D theater showing films with a focus on the natural world. The museum’s award-winning exhibit design team creates exhibitions on the unique and biodiverse Southern California region. In addition, the museum hosts several traveling exhibitions each year which teach visitors about our natural world as it is today and as it was in the past. Get right to the heart of a working brewery
The Stone Brewing Co. in Escondido offers a peek into its brewing process with complimentary tours. As your expert guide takes you right through the heart of the working brewery, you’ll learn all about the brewing process and craft beer culture. Tours last approximately 45 minutes and are followed by a guided tasting of their phenomenal beers. Just pick up a pass at the Stone Company Store (opens at 11 a.m.) to join in! Passes are released two hours in advance of each tour on a first come, first served basis, and people must be physically present to receive a tour pass.
