The cast and crew of ‘Glee’ celebrated three wins last night at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards – another nod of accomplishment for the breakout TV musical hit. Scoring the award for Choice TV Comedy, Glee celebrates another win for its second year in a row in this category. Actor Cory Monteith enjoyed a win for Choice TV Actor while popular favorite Darren Criss took home an award for Choice TV Breakout Star.
As Monteith accepted his award, he gave thanks to his fans: “Thank you guys so much this is because of you,” he said. Moments later, Criss humored and thanked the crowd saying, “I’m glad I wore a tie! Thank you to the writers of glee for giving me a break… Thanks to the fans for letting me break out.”
As a part of their acceptance speech festivities, the cast of ‘Glee’ debuted a never-before-seen clip from their upcoming movie, ‘Glee: The 3D Concert Movie’ due to open this weekend.
“The best part has been each other,” said Blaine – a perfect end to a night full of wins.
