Olympic diving champion Greg Louganis is the special guest at Soul Plates 7, a gala benefiting Being Alive HIV/AIDS services in San Diego. Presenting sponsor Moms Pharmacy has partnered with Being Alive to coordinate the event, which is scheduled for June 25, 6 p.m. at Inn at the Park (525 Spruce St., across from Balboa Park).
“We can’t believe how fortunate we are to have Greg Louganis join us for this event,” said Shannon Wagner, executive director of Being Alive. “We are very grateful to the staff at Moms Pharmacy in helping us work with Greg and promoting our event.”
The primary fundraiser for Being Alive, Soul Plates are decorated, one-of-a-kind plates made by celebrities and local artists. This year’s plates include several American Idol stars as well as one by Louganis. The event also includes live and silent auctions.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Louganis said. “Being Alive and their HIV programs and services are essential and fill an important need in San Diego.”
