The San Diego Rainbow Scuba Club (SDRSC) is making donations to the San Diego LGBT community with money raised at the Diving For Life (DFL) event.
This year they are making donations to Stepping Stone, Being Alive and Mama’s Kitchen.
At Diving For Life, the International Gay and Lesbian SCUBA Jamboree held in Roatan, Honduras, $73,000 was raised for LGBT organizations around the world. The SDRSC has secured a $1,000 donation for Stepping Stone, $1,500 for Being Alive and $1,852.94 for Mama’s Kitchen.
For more than 16 years, members of the SDRSC have been participating in the annual DFL event and in return getting donations for San Diego gay and lesbian non-profits. SDRSC and DFL welcome all SCUBA divers to join them for this year’s event, Sept. 17-24.
