If you take a fairy tale and reinterpret it with ’80s music video clichés and the bitter lens of the fired director of Twilight, Catherine Hardwicke, you get the most ridiculous Red Riding Hood. Amanda Seyfried is the titular character who must figure out who in her medieval village is the werewolf killing her friends. Suspects are aplenty, and most of them are hot, in a twinky sort of way. The colors are brash and gorgeous, and the co-stars – Gary Oldman and Julie Christie – are perplexing.
