New Park Manor owners change hotel’s name

Shell Vacations, the new owner of the historic Park Manor Suites, has announced it has changed the property’s name to Inn at the Park in an effort to maintain brand recognition with other similar properties within the Shell Vacations collection.

“Inn at the Park will be a signature location for our company and we look forward to serving its customers and guests with the quality and service our company is known for,” said Tracy L. Sherles, president and COO of Shell Vacations.

The historic hotel is located on Spruce Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, across the street from Balboa Park. Inn at the Park has been the name of one of the hotel’s restaurants.

“The ambiance, location and timeless appeal of the Inn at the Park are ideal for our family of customers both current and future,” says Sheldon H. Ginsburg, Shell Vacations chairman.

Inn at the Park is being honored with a Corporate Partner Business Award by the Greater San Diego Business Association this month. “Ed Delehanty and his staff have consistently hosted the LGBT and business community at this historic property for many years,” GSDBA said in a statement.
