Jillian Michaels surprised fans of NBC’s The Biggest Loser when she announced she will be leaving the show to pursue a family during the Season 11 finale. As Michaels steps off to engage in family life, Anna Kournikova, tennis star and longtime girlfriend to Enrique Iglesias, will serve as Michaels’ replacement.

Michaels, who has said she could fall in love with a man or a woman, has announced plans to adopt a child to pursue her dreams of parenthood. Michaels will parent her adopted child as a single parent, according to People magazine. Michaels intends to adopt her child from Congo.

“I’m just ready. There’s this line in When Harry Met Sally that I love more than anything: ‘When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start right now.’ And so, now that I know that I want to be a mother, I’m ready to be a mother right now. I’m excited, I’m nervous, I’m scared but I’m eager and ready for it when it comes,” Michaels explained to People magazine.

Kournikova will headline as co-host of The Biggest Loser beginning Season 12.
