Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
The Pickwick Players present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This fun-filled musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice tells the Biblical saga of Joseph, a boy blessed with the ability to interpret dreams. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock ‘n’ roll, this Old Testament tale emerges as both timely and timeless.

The San Diego Floral Association presents Garden Jewels of the Crown City, a tour of eight beautiful gardens in historic Coronado. Gardens with historic backgrounds or connected to a historic home have been identified, some with outstanding mature trees and plants.

North Park Festival of the Arts
Put on your dancing shoes and open your eyes to the music, art and fun encompassing the 15th Annual North Park Festival of the Arts. More than 35,000 friends and family will gather for this local tradition to take in the sights and sounds surrounding historic North Park. This festival features six stages of entertainment, the popular “Craft Beer Block” and hundreds of specialty booths featuring local artists and merchants.

In May 2000, the world was introduced to Sue, the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex specimen ever discovered. Now this famous T. rex, the most renowned predator of the dinosaurs, awakens at the San Diego Natural History Museum in a stunning 3-D movie. In Waking the T. rex: The Story of Sue, join scientists as they decipher fossil clues to piece together the lifelong struggles, from nest to death, of this famous creature. Witness her life events unfold, including an epic battle with a Triceratops, in a world where the only rule is eat or be eaten.
While at the museum, examine the strong fossil evidence from the Museum’s permanent dinosaur fossil collection, and use scientific tools to discover answers. Traveling through a 75-million-year timeline, from the age of dinosaurs to the Ice Ages, experience an unfolding of the prehistory of southern California and Baja California, Mexico.

San Diego Opera presents the quintessential opera Carmen.
Carmen is one hot gypsy – but play with her and you will get burned. Naïve young soldier Don José falls for her, leaving his sweetheart Micaëla for a life of crime with Carmen’s gang of gypsy smugglers. But when Carmen callously drops José for superstar “Toreador” Escamillo, his jealousy ignites, bursting into an emotional bonfire that could destroy them all.
Burning up the stage will be a sizzling Carmen – the sumptuous voiced mezzo-soprano Nino Surguladze – with charismatic tenor Richard Leech as Don José and roguish baritone Wayne Tigges as Escamillo.

Blithe Spirit
The Grossmont College Theatre Guild presents the smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages – the classic Noel Coward play Blithe Spirit. This play offers some of Coward’s funniest characters.
Charles Condomine, a cantankerous novelist, is haunted by his first wife Elvira, after the “happy medium” Madam Arcate arrives. All bets are off for Charles as his first and then second wife, “the Blithe Spirits” haunts him from the other side.
