If you are in the mood to circle one-way streets a dozen times looking for parking and peruse a huge array of art outdoors, then Little Italy is the place to be on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 (from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) for Art Walk, 2011.
More than 300 artists from across the U.S. and Mexico will be participating in “San Diego’s original Fine Art Festival.”
While you are there, keep in mind these worthy reasons to buy original art, as per the Art Walk organizers:
Your choice reflects your own originality (think of it as haute couture for your walls).
• It’s unique – no one else will have one
• Add to or begin a collection (a treasure now becomes an heirloom later)
• You take home part of an artist’s creative story
• Support the local economy while you nourish the soul
