Wanda Rolón, a pastor of the First Christian Church in Northern Puerto Rico, has attacked Ricky Martin on being gay. During his Music, Soul and Sex tour in Puerto Rico, Rolón said, “I want to say to Ricky Martin that there is no need to go to the extreme by making our children and youths confused.”
She then used Facebook to further express her anti-gay rhetoric, “This weekend Puerto Rico receives a man saved and brought from hell to the light, Nicky Cruz, while another one pretends to drag us all to hell. RM [Ricky Martin] has been proclaimed its ambassador (hell’s that is).”
Ricky Martin has not commented on Rolón, but he did make a heartfelt call to his fans at the concert, telling them, “Don’t be afraid to live, Puerto Rico.”
