Lady Gaga has confronted a religious fundamentalist who was protesting outside one of her concerts. As documented on the singer’s web series GaGavision, the protester presented the singer with a “Get Out Of Hell Free” card, prompting her to confront him about his views.
Gaga’s car rolls up to the lonely protester and she offers a friendly, “Hi, I’m Lady Gaga,” to which the man replies huffily, “So?”
Trying to meet him on some common ground, Gaga told the man, “I’m listening. You know we really believe in God at my show.”
“Well, your pervert ways don’t quite equate to what God is all about,” the man spat out.
When asked to clarify, the man replied, “Yeah, the homo stuff.”
When Gaga tried to explain that she was religious herself, having been to Catholic school as a child, he told her that she had been raised in a “screwy religion”.
“It just makes me sad that my fans have to see that, but I know that it’s just part of what I’m supposed to do,” she later said.
Lady Gaga will premiere her new single “Judas” on April 19.
