The GLAAD Media Awards celebrate notable achievements on behalf of the LGBT community by presenting honors to programs and individuals who accurately and inclusively portray and support the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in the media. This year’s 22nd Annual Media Awards event featured high-profile television honorees including “Glee,” “Modern Family” and “Project Runway,” along with individuals Kristin Chenoweth and NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt.
Held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles this past Saturday, the awards presentation also included prizes for outstanding TV journalism and outstanding film in limited release. These awards went to “Fort Worth Speech” on “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” and “I Love You Phillip Morris,” respectively.
