Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company opens Stick Fly Feb. 24, with several special events surrounding the performances.
Stick Fly is about the LeVay family, an affluent African American family, as they gather in their summer home on Martha’s Vineyard. The adult sons, aspiring novelist Kent and golden boy, plastic surgeon Flip, have each brought their respective ladies to meet the parents. Food, drink and Trivial Pursuit tangle with class, race and identity politics in this contemporary comedy of manners. More information about the play can be found at moolelo.net.
After the performance on Feb. 25 and March 6, audience members have a chance to talk back with the director and actors of Stick Fly.
NAACP San Diego Branch, NCNW, Inc. San Diego Section and Blue Summit Wealth Management present a mixer, performance and post-show talk with Lydia R. Diamond, the playwright of Stick Fly, on March 11. There are a limited number of discounted tickets available for the NAACP San Diego Branch and NCNW, Inc. San Diego Section Members. Call 619-342-7395 or email tickets@moolelo.net by Feb. 25.
