The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has released a special report analyzing public opinion on LGBT equality. The data clearly shows that the American public has evolved and is now supportive of issues affecting the LGBT community.
HRC President Joe Solmonese said, “While the American people embrace their LGBT friends and neighbors, government remains a lagging indicator of acceptance. The numbers don’t lie. Americans want equal rights for LGBT citi-zens and lawmakers should heed their call.”
HRC has analyzed diverse polling data and the report shows Americans are in favor of fairness on a wide range of LGBT issues, from mar- riage and relationship recognition to employment non-discrimination laws. The numbers prove Americans are quickly and consistently moving to embrace equality.
