The San Diego Cat Fanciers will host the Food and Water Bowl XIX at the Del Mar Fairgrounds January 22-23. The event will host over 5000 spectators for what is Miss America for cats. Over 450 felines will compete for top honors in a variety of categories, plus cats will participate in agility competitions.
The agility competition allows owners to guide their cat through an obstacle course of differing challenges that features hoops, hurdles and tunnels. It is the most popular spectator event.
A host of vendors will be selling everything for your favorite kitty including jewelry, food, as well as specialized litter. There will also be cat rescue organizations offering cats for adoption.
When: 10 am to 5 pm Jan. 22 and 9 am to 5 pm Jan 23.
Where: Del Mar Fairgrounds, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar.
Admission: $8 adults; $6 children; seniors and military free.
