John Travolta has been haunted by gay rumors and reports since the late 1980’s. He has always denied these rumors and at times has enlisted his legal team to counter them.
Once again fresh rumors have surfaced because actress Carrie Fisher stated in a new interview that she knows Travolta is gay.
Fisher, who is good friends with the Hollywood star, said this when asked about Travolta’s sexuality, “Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”
Two years ago, Fisher said for a media piece about 10 things gay men should know about women, “We don’t really care that John Travolta is gay.”
Porn star Paul Barresi was the first person to go public about Travolta’s sexuality. Barresi alleged a gay relationship with Travolta in the 1980’s. He later retracted the story. Subsequently, Barresi retracted the retraction.
Despite recently having another child with wife Kelly Preston, other men have come forward alleging sexual contact with Travolta.
Travolta’s behavior has often caused surprise. He has been known to kiss male staff members on the lips.
